Arctic Express from Alta to Tromsø with Whale Safari

This tour is conducted by Cruise Service. During the journey, you’ll have the chance to see majestic humpback whales and orcas in their natural habitat. We travel to the areas where these graceful giants hunt for herring, with our knowledgeable guides sharing fascinating insights about the whales. While we can’t guarantee whale sightings on every trip, the route between Alta and Tromsø offers a very high likelihood of encountering them.

Enjoy the views from the boat’s warm lounge or step outside into the crisp Arctic air on deck for an even closer look. Our 7.5-hour trip is a comfortable and safe journey through the Arctic fjords. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the onboard bar.

Comfortable, Fast, and Spacious Boat

Aboard MS Keiser Wilhelm, you can relax in a spacious lounge with large windows, providing panoramic views while you stay warm and cozy inside. If you’d like a closer connection with nature, the deck offers an excellent platform to breathe in the fresh sea air and admire the whales, scenery, and possibly even the Northern Lights. Just remember to bring warm clothing.

Øksfjord

Halfway through the journey, we’ll make a brief stop in Øksfjord, a charming fishing village surrounded by towering mountains and sparkling waters. Take in the stunning Arctic landscape, capture photos of the tranquil surroundings, and stretch your legs as you enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before we continue our journey.
